Swallowing Evaluations and FEES

A comprehensive Clinical Swallowing Evaluation and FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) will determine your treatment plan and goals for an improved ability to eat the foods and drinks you enjoy.

Manual therapy and myofascial release techniques can alleviate the lump or tightness in the throat due to muscle tension dysphagia to improve the pleasure of eating.

We are trained in lymphedema therapy techniques to improve your swallowing and voice after radiation changes to the head and neck.

Dysphagia Therapy

SpeechRx provides the Intensive Dysphagia Rehabilitation approach, an intensive exercise-based swallowing treatment through targeted swallowing practice with the speech pathologist and required home practice. Through consistent exercises, we will assist you in eating your favorite foods with ease.

SpeechRx is certified in the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program, a systematic therapy swallowing program focusing on hierarchal, simple swallowing techniques as an exercise requiring 60-80 swallows per session! Swallowing is the best exercise for swallowing.   Click here for more inspiring info!

Chronic cough

Do you find yourself coughing and throat clearing throughout the day? Does this cough and throat clearing interfere with your work and social settings? A chronic cough is a consistent cough that persists for at least 8 weeks. SpeechRx can provide breathing, voicing, and behavioral strategies to reduce or eliminate the cough or throat clearing.
